The Story Behind
MCA Selector

MCA Selector was originally created by Querz as a technical solution to a common problem: Minecraft world saves growing uncontrollably. Over the years, it evolved from a simple region deleter into a sophisticated, high-performance visual editor.

As the community grew, we realized that many players found it difficult to navigate GitHub or understand complex technical requirements like Java runtimes. That’s why mcaselector.org was established.

“Our goal is to bridge the gap between complex open-source tools and the average Minecraft player, providing clear documentation and safe access to the latest builds.”

Open Source Integrity

We fully support the open-source nature of the project. All binaries linked here are unmodified and pulled from the primary source.

Simplified Documentation

We translate technical jargon into easy-to-follow guides, helping users avoid common pitfalls and world corruption.

Continuous Updates

As Minecraft updates to 26.1 and beyond, we ensure our users have access to the latest compatible versions of the editor.

Safety & Transparency

We believe in the power of open-source software and the importance of user trust. Here is how we maintain the integrity of this platform.

Why mcaselector.org Exists

Our values guide every piece of documentation and every link we provide.

๐ŸŒฑ

Sustainability for Worlds

Minecraft worlds shouldn’t have to be deleted just because they become “too large.” We believe in sustainable world managementโ€”pruning unused data to keep long-term saves playable for years, even decades.

๐ŸŽ“

Accessibility of Tech

Powerful tools shouldn’t be limited to power users. We strive to simplify complex NBT and chunk editing concepts so that any player can confidently update their world to the latest Minecraft version without fear of corruption.
