About mcaselector.org
An independent documentation and download hub for MCA Selector, the open-source Minecraft chunk editor — written for players and server owners who prune, repair and maintain Java Edition worlds.
What this site is — and is not
mcaselector.org is an independent, unofficial resource site. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Querz (the developer of MCA Selector), Mojang, or Microsoft. MCA Selector itself is a free, open-source project released under the MIT license; its home is the Querz/mcaselector repository on GitHub, and that repository is the only download source the developer calls official and safe.
Our job here is narrower and, we hope, useful: keep track of new releases, publish the real file sizes and SHA-256 hashes next to the downloads, document the workflows the official wiki only sketches, and collect the fixes for the problems users actually run into — in plain English, with the version numbers checked against the source.
About the tool
MCA Selector is an external (out-of-game) editor for Minecraft Java Edition world saves. It renders a top-down map of a world and lets you select chunks and regions to delete, export, import or batch-edit through its filter and NBT tools. It supports worlds from Minecraft 1.2.1 through 26.3+ and runs on Windows, macOS and Linux. It does not support Bedrock Edition worlds — the developer has stated there are no plans to add Bedrock support.
Our download policy
Primary download buttons on this site point to the official GitHub release files, so the hashes we publish can actually verify what you downloaded. For visitors who cannot reach GitHub, we also keep a clearly labelled mirror on Terabox — it is a site mirror, not an official direct link, and mirrored files cannot be checked against the published hashes. The details are on the download page and in our Disclaimer.
How the site is funded
Some outbound links on this site (for example, to Minecraft server hosting and backup services we write about) are affiliate links: if you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Download links are never affiliate links. The full list of relationships is on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
Corrections & contact
Versions move fast and mistakes happen. If you spot an outdated version number, a wrong hash or a broken link, please tell us via the contact page — corrections are made against the official GitHub releases and wiki, and we would rather fix a page than leave a wrong number standing.
