Affiliate Disclosure
Last Updated: October, 2026.
How mcaselector.org makes money, and what that means for you.
The short version
MCA Selector is free and open source, and it always will be on this site: download links are never affiliate links and are never behind a paywall. To cover hosting and the time it takes to maintain this resource, some links to other products and services — mainly Minecraft server hosting and world-backup services covered in our guides — are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission from the seller. It never costs you extra, and you are never obliged to use those links.
Which links are affiliate links?
Affiliate links on this site are routed through our /go/ redirect paths and are marked as sponsored. The current relationships are:
- Minecraft server hosting — Shockbyte, Apex Hosting, BisectHosting and Hostinger, linked from our server guides and comparisons.
- Cloud backup — pCloud, linked from our world-backup guides.
- Minecraft itself — links to the official Minecraft store at minecraft.net.
- Hardware — some storage and hardware links in our guides may go to Amazon with our Amazon Associates tag (oliver062-20) attached; Amazon pays us a small percentage of qualifying purchases.
Some of these are established affiliate relationships and some are programmes we are in the process of joining; in both cases the links behave the same for you, and this page is updated when a relationship changes.
What affiliate links never do here
- They never change the facts we publish: version numbers, file sizes, SHA-256 hashes and compatibility information come from the official MCA Selector releases and wiki, regardless of any commercial relationship.
- They never gate a download. Every MCA Selector file we link can also be downloaded directly from the official GitHub repository with no intermediate step.
- They are never disguised as download buttons for MCA Selector itself.
Third-party trademarks
